Round Ide Cable Round IDE Cables The Same As Flat IDE Cables?

Round IDE cables the same as Flat IDE cables? - round ide cable

Probably a stupid question, but I am now using the gray fat, flat IDE cables for my DVD burner and my regular DVD player. I want one of those cool round IDE cable UV space limitations, especially around the video card / hard-disk space (in a closed room, no!). They are one and the same right? It will not explode if I did not sign me?

They are the same. Following the placement of fans and ventilation in a PC chassis, flat IDE ribbon cables can restrict airflow. No problem if you take the time to bend and sit, but the round IDE cables can do the same.
